5/05/14 May 5th Elder Gurr

Hello family,

Sorry this is short but not much new happened.  We had two families investigating the church at Sacrament meeting on Sunday. We have two possible families to baptize for this week.  We are working hard and my new companion is Elder Ochoa.  He works hard and loves what he does.  He is a very friendly guy from Guatemala.  We are currently working with about 7 families so the work here is going insane.  One of the families that we are teaching, the husband likes his bible more.  We taught him that we use the same Bible and we teach about the Book of Mormon because it is new.

I also like to tell you all to read your Patriarchal blessings because it will help a lot.

Well I love you so much and will see you on Skype. I'll be able to tell you more. Love you all

Hello family,

Wow! It was another week of awesomeness here in Honduras!  One of our families is progressing fast, faster than I could have ever imagined. O Monday we taught them the Word of Wisdom and after learning about it they agreed that day to follow the Word of Wisdom and drop it all for the Lord.

The next day they bought Kool-aid packets and they are excited to receive the blessings that come from doing it.  They also told everyone in church about the blessings they received when they stopped drinking.  It was so cool!  They also have a small restaurant and they changed the hours from Monday through Saturday. They are now closed on Sunday.  She said that she heard about the Sabbath in church and decided to put it in practice.  It was the coolest ever.  They are the best.  They are scared to be baptized so I told them with the knowledge you are gaining will you be baptized in three weeks?  They agreed but to me they are more than ready.

They are one of the most powerful families I have ever taught and I love how quickly they have progressed.  The ward is also helping out and they are getting to know more people. They will be a very strong family when they are baptized.
