Hello family,

How are things going?  It was an awesome week, well I mean there was not much to do but we did have some success this week.  We had the opportunity to baptize an investigator who was baptized this Saturday.  It was great because we were not expecting a baptism.  It was so empty in our area I took photos of the area.  She was sad because the necklace on her the cross has been on her since she could remember but after awhile she knew that she needed to take it off.  She had faith and had to cut it off.  She I think is much happier now.  She was smiling in church without it so that's kind of what happened this week.  Vacations were hard to find people. Love you all. See you next week.

´´Work hard because you might not see the success your having until the end of all of it´´

Hello Family,

Hey, I can't believe that this week has gone by so fast. It has been an amazing week. God is working hard to prepare the children of men. This week has been really hard because this week is going to be hard to work.  It's Holy Week here and people here take a week off and go visit family and visit the beach.  The good part is there should be people home all week.  Hopefully they can throw their pride away and learn about the gospel. The baptism we will have this next week I think will happen because she actually wants to be baptized.  Also one of the sisters is married to a man who is a member is very positive so we could baptize a few families in the next month.  My companion is sad they can't get baptized before the next missionary change but happy he was a part of it.  Also the family we wanted to baptize this week need to fix things before the wedding can be done plus it is expensive to do it.

Love you all.

Hello family,

How is everything going? We had a good week. We found a family we taught just once and now they are progressing very fast.  They are progressing really fast and they attended church this week it was incredible the faith these people have.  They went to general conference and he said he liked it a lot and he wants to see more of the church.  In just the second visit we challenged them to baptism and they accepted it but we need to marry them first.  They are great!  They I believe will be baptized very soon.  They are going to be strong members I believe. They had a strong testimony when we asked them if they would be baptized.  They both understood that we were servants of God. That was one powerful Sunday I will never forget.  That is about the best we have this week.  We also have a baptism of a little girl with a less active family so they should be reactivated with this.  We are still in the fight and my companion is fighting hard to win the war he is finishing in just three weeks crazy.  Love you all!

Hello family,

We finally had a family in the church this Sunday.  We also found a part member family through a member of the ward.  Some of the members of the family would like to be baptized so we started teaching them the discussions.  Our families we found this week didn't go to church but I was at least happy to see one.  I am grateful that me and my companion are having success.  We are working hard getting rejected like no one else but that's just cause Satan is tempting them.  I am happy to be in this area and also we are moving.  There is a possibility that we might get a stove and washer.  The landlord said she might leave them there because she trusts us.  YES!

The week was finding like usual. Wednesday was a weird day.  We got a random bus ride from someone and then we met a new guy who actually gave us coffee and it was crazy.  My companion was funny as well because he kept saying he was hungry even when he ate a big meal. We had one crazy day.

I read a scripture the other day and I thought it was cool 1 Corinthians 13:11 "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."  It's time for me to be a man is what I interpret.  I love it and I hope I have worked hard to find the people I was meant to find.

Oh just as a side note chickens here sleep on top of trees or roofs.  Its really weird.  Maybe I can take a shot of it one day.

Sunday was crazy because we decided to contact crazy like Abinadi, and then when we finished the last door we contacted there was this guy's name, Abinadi.  It to us was like whoa are you a member?  He said yes, he was just less active.  It was super cool because if we can pass by more we could baptize his wife but we will see.  Seemed positive over the door. God works in mysterious ways he loves us and he is our heavenly father.  Love you all so very much.

Hello Family,

This week was really crazy because I received a new companion.  His name is Elder Aguilar and he used to work in the office, and he is about ready to finish his mission.  He is a crazy worker.  In just 4 days we were able to have 36 contacts and find 17 new people and 6 families.  That is really high for a short first week.  He is really excited for the area and he is a hard worker.  We didn't have anyone come to sacrament meeting but we will try to get people to attend next week.

We are working with three families and hope they can progress very soon. I learned this week that the power of work is important and that we should not get discouraged easily.  If you work hard you will accomplish anything. I never thought that it would be hard to do this but I am learning that as long as we work it will pay off.  I love you all and hope you have a good weekend.

Hello family,

I can't believe what happened this week.  It has been one crazy week.  This week was a little hard but we were able to pull through.  This week was amazing for a few things.  First we were able to baptize Santiago and we did it at the church right next to the temple and we told him that the temple in one year is his next goal.  He is an awesome man and very humble we told him to stop drinking coffee and even though it took some time we were able to do it and after that he was ready.  He attended church consecutively and the gospel has really changed his life.  It's incredible to see a man change and to see how much more happiness he has in his life.  He is a good man and I know that he will continue to learn more about the gospel.

We also had stake conference with Richard G. Scott and Dallen H. Oaks. I never knew that Richard G. Scott spoke Spanish.  It was awesome to hear him speak in Spanish.  He speaks very well.

Another thing that happened was we have been teaching a family and the wife finally came to church.  She loved going to the temple and she wants to go to church next week and we told the husband if he wants to be baptized he has to attend church.  He said he would go to church next week.  Also something funny happened was we got a ride on a taxi and we started to talk to him and he thought I was from Germany. When he said this I asked why and he said it was because of my hair so I guess I look like a German.  Also when we were with him he asked me to say "Jesucristo es mi vida" (Jesus Christ is my life) and all I said was the phrase in Spanish but in a German sounding way.  It was funny, he totally bought it.

It has been a fun week and I hope to find out more of what there is in store. I love you all and yes, Jesus Christ is my life. Love you all. I pray for you.

 Hello family,

I have now been in this country for over a year and I still feel like I just got here.  Here is a little bit of what happened this week.  Well a few things that were awesome that happened this week is we found a new family that seems very positive and we hope to get them to start to go to church and it was awesome.  I feel like they can really progress.  One of our investigators came to church again and the best part ever he dropped coffee completely.  I was so excited to hear that.  He has a date for next week, he will be the first person I baptized from going contacting and baptizing him.  He is a good spirit and had a tough time with just coffee but now we can get him baptized the 15 or 16 of March depending on which day he attends church.

Also the baptism from a week or so ago, Abraham, well he has the Aaronic Priesthood and he is still happy attending church.  It is so good to see others progress and continue to progress.

This Saturday we went by a family that has investigated the church since the start of January and I went with a zone leader to help us get to a baptism date and convince them to go to church.  The mom knows everything is true only she needs to go to church but the problem is her husband.  He acts like he has things to do but he doesn't have work Sunday and they are legally married.  It's tough.  They accepted the last month of March but they did not attend church. It's hard sometimes on a mission but as long as we continue to work hard and fight to the end we will be blessed.  They may not get baptized this change or next but I hope eventually they do.  It would be really sad to see them not finish and get baptized.  Only one of them was baptized as a baby and the other not even. The woman wants to but she needs to have church attendance to prove so.

This is what  happened this week and I hope to continue to work hard and get more done here.  I would not be happy if I left this change.  There is more to do here.  Well, I will see you later.

Hasta luego!

 Hello family,

Here is what happened this week. Well we had a baptism this last Saturday with the first guy I found in the new area named Abraham.  My companion never really talked to him about baptism and we mentioned it to him and he liked the idea. It was hard to know if he would actually do it.  He was very happy to be baptized and it felt good for my first baptism of this month.  After he was confirmed one of the members asked what we did to convince him.  We told her not really anything and she was shocked.  Who knows but it was easy, but that was probably the spirit because I don't boast of myself only that God blessed our companionship to have it.  We worked hard and we are seeing the results.  Sometimes God tests us to see what we can do and if we work hard we will be blessed.

I have definitely learned how blessings work and sometimes the blessings aren't baptisms.  I am blessed to speak the language.  I can speak Spanish, but it's not easy.  Work for new people is slow but we are working with another person that has trouble with coffee.  We will try our best to work with him.  That's been the whole week but we are staying strong and working hard.  Love you all and sorry this is short the internet isn't good this week.

Hello family,

How are things going? This week has been a good one with the work we did contacting.  The first week we were able to find the people we have who are close to being baptized and they both came to church. One likes to joke a lot so it's hard to teach with the spirit but he knows a lot about the church. He is hard to say but we think we might baptize him this week.  He is awesome and he could get married to another in the ward who they are currently boyfriend and girlfriend.  He is the most likely to get baptized of the group we have.  He is a guy who wants to know everything and I heard that he just wanted to know more information about the church.  He is a great guy and good personality and I can't wait for him to enter in the waters of baptism.

The other investigator has been listening to us for about two weeks.  He has given up coffee to try to follow the Lord and he attended church last Sunday.  He accepts everything we teach him.  We hope that he can make friends at church and continue listening to us in the discussions.  I am loving the success we have made so far and me and my companion work in unity.  I love the work we do.  It can be hard but it is worth it that these people will be able to enter the Celestial kingdom. Love you all!  This is what I have been doing here. Lots of work and patience.

We will work hard!

Hello Family,

This week was a lot of fun.  We had someone we found in just four days come to church yesterday.  She told us that she loved it and that she will go back.  We were teaching this family that we finally found the dad after it has been over a week and we found her sister and we were teaching them about getting an answer.  I have to say this moment was really spiritual.  My companion and I asked if we would get on our knees and ask God each of them sincerely to pray.  Then we got up and let them talk to us and then I asked how do you feel.  After 20 minutes they each responded receiving some sort of answer.  One saw two paths one to the church with no order and partying churches (the worldly churches) and the other to our church which has order. She said at first she was baptized but we told her do you want a church of order or of chaos. The real church should be the church that everyone can attend which our church is almost around the whole earth. She said that she knew it was true. The other saw us in the light and someone else in the dark didn't know what that was she said. We said that we are the light as representatives to guide her to eternal life. That is what happened this week it was very spiritual and I am loving it here. Love you all,

Hello family,

How is life going? Well, I am in a new area closer to the Tegucigalpa mission home. Here is what happened this week. Monday we didn't do much but we had time to say good-bye to a family who feed us one last time and then on Tuesday we said goodbye to the members in Marcala.  It was sad but cool to get pictures of most of the members.

Wednesday I arrived in my new area called Tizatillo which is just outside of Tegucigalpa. The first day we already found someone contacting and he is very crazy but I had fun teaching him. He knows the lessons, he just doesn't want to be baptized. We will see what we can do. Also one of the zone leaders in my last area came with me the same time here. Crazy!  Thursday was hard because we went contacting and one of the guys we were teaching, a boyfriend of a member, wasn't even paying attention to us.  I know we did our part so we will continue to try to help him.  Friday also was tough contacting and these people are not as excited like the last area but I feel that the ones who listen to us really want to know more about the church.

Saturday we found a family and one told us she had a dream of us coming because the night before she prayed hard that her prayers could be answered.  We came in blue shirts to give service and she told us she saw two white guys in blue shirts. Tells you the importance of the right shirt I guess. We found two families that day which is very high for a normal day because most men here come home late at night.

Sunday was new.  We had to get up early because the church isn't in our area.  There is a member who drives everyone in a bus so it's not as hard to get people to go to church just the time slot. Church starts at 8 AM, but some do not get there till 8:30.  Now I know why everyone shows up late. :) That's what happened this week. Love you all, see you later.

Hello family,

Como estan? How is everyone doing today? I can't believe the basketball hoop is gone. Well here is what happened this week. Well, Monday was my birthday and my companion surprised me with a cake he bought. It was awesome! Also that day we found a new guy.  He said that all the different religions are branches of the Catholic church. We are trying to help him understand that we are definitely not connected with the Catholic church. Hopefully they can understand. Tuesday was so funny we spent three hours trying to find this less active family and when we think we found them they immediately told us to go away. It usually doesn't happen but me and my companion were laughing.

Wednesday, we provided service to the branch president and we painted a house. It was a lot of fun but I forgot my camera. Then my companion had to sign up for school. Yah he needs to sign up to go to school. He doesn't have much time left on his mission. Also I taught an English class to people who can only speak Spanish.  It was really hard to do that.  Thursday we finally put a baptism date with a guy who has been investigating the church.  He is very interested to learn more and progress. I am grateful for the work I have done here and can't wait to help more people know the truth. It's not easy but it is worth it.

Friday we were rejected like crazy it may be tough but I know that all we need to do is keep working it and we will receive blessings. Every time someone slams the door it's a blessing because we are here just to invite and not force.  Sunday we found out that our investigator family is progressing like crazy. It's awesome to see their lives change.

Hello family.

How are things going? Well I guess now I am 20 years old. Not a teenager anymore. Very funny!  Here is what happened this week. On Monday we decided to find a less active family. We went up and down hills trying to find them then we found a guy who thought he knew where they lived so we followed.  Then we with 3 others guys, not from the church, hiked to go find this family.  We spent the whole night looking for them and we could not find them.  Turns out that the whole time they lived in a house close to us.  I had a Psych moment looking at their name and figured out that they were the same family that was in the records as inactive. We found them and we plan to help them come back to church. It's been tough to find people to teach. They are not easy to find and they have a hard time excepting what we teach but my faith will not fall.

Thursday was my year mark and we had an activity at the church. Not too many people showed up but they had fun and they want to bring their friends. Friday we helped make tamales. We wanted to help a family out to show that we give service. It was one crazy day we also tried to get the leaders to help.  Sunday we were not able to get much done except that we found a family that we can teach.  One of the family is a member. love you all see you next week.
